1. Controller

Parallax Analytics Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 17030475, is the controller for the personal data described in this notice.

Registered office: 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NE. Contact: parallaxanalytics@proton.me.

2. Personal data we process

When you visit this website, technical connection data may be processed, including IP address, browser and device information, request time, requested resources, routing information and security events.

If you contact us by email, telephone, LinkedIn, X or WhatsApp, we may process your name, contact details, organisation, role, correspondence, information about the proposed work and any other information you choose to provide.

We do not ask you to provide special-category personal data or criminal offence data through ordinary enquiries. Please do not provide such data unless it is necessary and has been specifically agreed.

3. Purposes and lawful bases

We process personal data for the following purposes and lawful bases:

Where we rely on legitimate interests, those interests include website and information security, responding to expected business communications, administering engagements, preventing misuse and protecting our legal and commercial position. We consider the necessity and proportionality of the processing and the effect on the rights and interests of the individual.

4. Hosting, cookies and external platforms

This website is hosted using Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical connection and security data to deliver, route and protect the website.

Parallax does not configure advertising analytics, behavioural tracking or advertising cookies on this website. We do not embed social-media feeds. Links to LinkedIn, X and WhatsApp activate those external services only when you choose to follow the link.

A strictly necessary cookie or similar technical mechanism may be used by the hosting or security layer where required for service delivery or protection. Material changes to the deployed configuration will be reviewed and this notice will be updated where necessary.

5. Recipients and international transfers

Personal data may be disclosed where necessary to providers supporting hosting, email, communications, document storage, accounting and other business systems; to professional advisers; or to public authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

Some providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where applicable, transfers are made using a recognised legal mechanism, such as an adequacy regulation or decision, standard contractual clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or another safeguard permitted by applicable law.

Cloudflare's data processing terms include contractual mechanisms for restricted transfers. Information about applicable safeguards, or a copy where legally available, may be requested using the contact details below.

6. Retention

Data is deleted, anonymised or placed beyond ordinary operational use when the applicable retention purpose expires.

7. Your rights and complaints

Subject to applicable law and relevant exemptions, you may have rights to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability.

Your right to object: where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will stop the relevant processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds or the processing is required for legal claims.

We do not currently rely on consent for the core processing described in this notice. If consent is used for a separate purpose, it may be withdrawn at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

You may lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office or, where another data-protection regime applies, with another competent supervisory authority, including the authority in the country where you live or work.

8. Automated decisions and provision of data

Parallax does not use the personal data described in this notice to make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Technical connection data is necessary for the website to be delivered and secured. Providing information through direct correspondence is voluntary, but without sufficient contact and scope information we may be unable to respond, assess the proposed work or enter into an engagement.

9. Contact and updates
